Lionel Messi the star player of Argentina, promised his team will beat the everytime rivals Brazil in their next World Cup 2010 qualifying match. Messi was disappointed to be on the losing side against Ecuador on June 10, when Argentina slumped 2-0 in Quito. Argentina stand fourth in the South American qualifying group, the last guaranteed qualifying positon  and  if Argentina loses and if Ecuador wins it will leave Argentina in 5th place. Argentina draw 0 - 0 in Brazil in the first game. Argenta is two points above Ecuador and four rounds of matches remaining.

Argentina will have advantage as they take on Brazil at Buenos Aires, home ground of argentina  on September 5.

"I have no doubts that Argentina will go on to the World Cup," Messi said.

"We need to beat Brazil and we are going to do it."

"We need to achieve some positive results and we are going to do it," said Messi.

"I am mad because we did not deserve to lose the game against Ecuador. We produced a good first half and they took the lead with a goal that came from heaven."

Argentina fans are disappointed to see that Argentinians have failed to produce the goods but just the big talks and promises.They feel really sick of these verbal stuff and  it's time to keep heads down and produce some good results to remain in the tournament.
